About Us
We got married in 2013 and have been making music together ever since. We believe that playing music is an essential skill for creativity and expression. Our classes will teach students how to express themselves through music while making each step fun and engaging.

Born and raised in the state of Michigan, we moved to Colorado in 2020 and have now relocated once again to Austin, Texas.
Who We Are
Steven Middendorp
​
Steven began playing guitar at 13 years old motivated to play classic rock songs by Ozzy Osbourne, AC/DC, Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin, etc... He expanded his musical repertoire to include a wide variety of genres and techniques, including flamenco, pop, rock, blues, jazz, and country. He has performed at multiple music festivals, including Bliss Fest, Buttermilk Jamboree, and Spirit of the Woods Fest in Michigan alongside other Michigan music greats like Billy Strings, the Accidentals, and the Crane Wives. He began giving guitar lessons to foster children in 2015 and started teaching online sessions in 2020.

Brooke VanDyke
​
Brooke began playing ukulele in 2011 and has since learned how to play the banjo, piano, and recorder. She has performed at street festivals and nursing homes alongside Steven. She began teaching ESL online in 2015 and started teaching music online in 2021.
